Loft and bunk Vs. regular beds?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a loft bed or bunk bed instead of as a regular? Really I want to know about the level of comfort. They are comfortable bunks and regular?
Litera ... If you have a good quality mattress and sturdy bed / frame, which can be comfortable. Advantages: Saves space, fun for children Disadvantages: upper bed is near the ceiling where it is warmer - it can be very stuffy and uncomfortable sleep in winter and summer. lower berth is closer to the ground where it is cool - can be cold in winter. Berths are usually against a wall, which can be restrictive to sleep. Fall Hazard loft / upper bunk, even with bars. Danger of falling out of scale. Hard to make the beds. top bunk / loft can be difficult to obtain because of an injury or illness. Sleep habits of Peron in the top bunk can be unsettling for a person in the lower bunk (ie, lights and works a lot).
